In 1991, Jay Panchal was visionary for alternative energy industry. Jay’s forward-
focused mindset was the inspiration for this fine company, Panatec Corporation.
Prior to the founding of Panatec Corporation, Jay was a Research/Teaching Assistant at
Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL. His work consisted of pioneering energy-
saving projects for the Power Electronics Division. While pursuing this research, he
successfully designed and developed the very foundation of modern, energy-efficient
devices such as Compact Fluorescent Lamps, using power electronics building blocks
known as Power FETs and Power BJTs. These devices are the core components in
current inverter systems, smart grid units, and monitoring systems.
The knowledge Jay gained in his research was significant in establishing Panatec
Corporation in a forward-focused plan. Society tends to deny ideas that appear to be
ahead of their time. Global warming is a controversial topic in today’s world, but it’s only
a matter of time before it makes its mark on our planet. The goal for Panatec
Corporation is to take care of the current world we live in by providing eco-friendly
solutions.
Jay believes taking advantage of renewable energy and reducing our dependence on
fossil fuels is the first step in modeling a healthier, more constructive earth. After 15
years of slow-pace development, green energy initiatives have become popular, and
